What LyricHQ collects
LyricHQ collects only the information needed to provide private songwriting, recording, backup, and sync features:
- Your email address and an internal account identifier when you create an account.
- Songs, lyrics, revision history, and written Quick Ideas that you save while signed in.
- Audio recordings, recording titles, notes, dates, durations, and song associations that you choose to back up.
- Basic technical information required by hosting and authentication providers to operate and secure the service, such as request logs and IP addresses.
Content created as a guest stays on the device unless you later sign in and choose to use private cloud backup.
Camera, microphone, and Photos
LyricHQ asks for microphone access when you record audio, camera and microphone access when you record video, and Photos access when you save a performance to Camera Roll. Permissions are requested when you use the relevant feature.
Performance videos are saved to your Camera Roll or shared using the iOS share sheet. LyricHQ does not upload performance videos to its cloud service. Audio recordings can be uploaded privately so they appear in Demos on devices where you sign in.
How information is used
Your information is used to authenticate your account, save and synchronize your work, restore your library, provide backups, and keep the service reliable and secure. LyricHQ does not publish your work, listen to it for advertising, sell it, or use it to train artificial-intelligence models.
Service providers
LyricHQ uses Supabase for authentication, private database storage, and private audio-file storage, and Replit for application hosting and delivery. These providers process information only as needed to operate LyricHQ and are subject to their own security and privacy terms.
Sharing and tracking
LyricHQ does not sell personal information, show targeted advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Information may be disclosed only when required by law, to protect users or the service, or to vendors that operate LyricHQ under appropriate obligations.
Retention and deletion
Your cloud content is retained while your account is active. You may delete individual songs and recordings or permanently delete your account from the Account screen. Account deletion removes the account and associated cloud songs, revision history, written Quick Ideas, recording metadata, and backed-up audio. Backups exported to Files, Mail, AirDrop, Messages, or another service remain under your control and must be deleted there separately.
Security
LyricHQ uses encrypted network connections, private storage, account-scoped access controls, and iOS Keychain-backed session storage. No service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their device, email account, and password.
Children
LyricHQ is not directed to children under 13, and the operator does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact the address above if you believe a child provided information.
Your choices and rights
You can access and correct your work in the app, export a backup, delete individual items, or delete your account. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, portability, correction, restriction, objection, or deletion. Send requests to the support address above.
Changes
This policy may be updated as LyricHQ changes. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
